EPortfolio Part 1 Comm 323 Leadership

I created a Wix page for another class I was enrolled in at Old Dominion University. Since I already created a page, all I had to do was update my page and make sure I featured everything that was necessary. I also didn’t have much of a challenge with my wix page because I’ve had time to explore everything wix has to offer. When I first made my page, I found it challenging to navigate everything. I’m now very excited to take my page to the next level. I think it’s a great way to showcase your writing, projects, and resume. I would like to make my page more personal but professional at the same time. I really want it to pop when someone visits my page. I want it to draw attention making the reader want to know more about me.

I feel like leaders stand out of the crowd. It takes a special person to be a leader, and I think my brother is a great leader. He always takes the initiative and is very humble in doing so. He gets the job done without complaining and takes pride in his work. I admire him and how he handles personal and work issues.

I remember a poorly managed event that I attended. I went to my cousin’s wedding and the ceremony was wonderful, but the reception took forever. The cocktail portion of the wedding was about two hours long and people were getting restless. When it was time to enter the wedding, there was a guest list and ever if you had a name tag they had to check the list. My brother’s girlfriend has a name tag but her name was not on the list. The person in control of the guest list made her stand to the side, and I just thought that was very unorganized. The way the guest list was managed definitely needed improvement.

At this point I do not have any questions about my wix page, I’m just very excited to improve my page!
